I recently stumbled upon the following Emergent Blog Post that discusses the recent Catholic-Protestant Emerging Church Conference in New Mexico. This is huge. I was struck by the mention of the meal that was shared by some participants, during which they broke bread together, in an unplanned, spontaneous way. Wow.
The author of this post (one of several about the conference) is Jonathan Brink, who is the Managing Director of Thrive Ministries.
Here is a quote from his article (referring possibly to the meal shared, or the whole conference as a whole):
I walked away from that event completely stunned at what had happened. It’s still resonating. Reconciliation was not only possible, it is happening. And we were part of it. We were writing the next chapter of the reformation.
